Description

Risk is part of life whether you are developing a new orientation program or planning a vacation. No project or endeavor ever goes off completely as planned. Glitches, whether large or small, can derail your work if you are unprepared. Planning to manage risks assures a greater chance for minimum impact on the schedule, cost, and desired results. We intuitively include some risks in all our plans. Many of us fail to analyze and plan to mitigate risks systematically in all our work. Even more problematic, we don't plan for unexpected risks. Learn to create mitigation plans for anticipated risks and a plan to deal with the unexpected. Use standard tools to analyze risks and prioritize the need for planning. Be confident, stop "firefighting," and manage risk strategically.

Learning Objectives:-

  • Understand your specific strengths and challenges
  • Identify Issues you must deal with
  • Analyze risks and prioritize your responses
  • Develop robust risk management plans
  • Execute your plans and focus on results, not an activity
  • Manage your staff remotely; employ best practices for staying connected
  • Strike the balance between the "rules" and flexibility
  • Maintain strong relationships and engagement if physically distant
  • Stay up-to-date and tune out the noise
  • Maintain ongoing risk planning
  • Focus on the "human" part of human resources; caring, compassion, communication
  • Plan for reintegration; apply lessons learned
  • Improve risk management continually

Why Should You Attend:-

Risk Management is an ongoing challenge for Human Resources. Managing risks successfully is fundamental for success at all times. COVID-19 was not your typical Force Majeure! Human Resources Managers were faced with unique risks related to local, State, Federal, and international regulations and requirements. As the pandemic abates, HR cannot afford to fail to analyze and plan to mitigate old and new risks systematically.

Whether or not you had a pandemic preparedness plan, we have new information available to us on better strategies and approaches to deal with major risks. We know how to put systems and policies in place, which allow remote work and protection when people are in the office. Every organization is in a different situation and HR professionals are grappling with establishing approaches that work in your specific environment. As employees return to the workplace, some are unscathed while others may suffer from PTSD. Learn how to execute a plan that will work for your organization to keep workers safe.

Who Should Attend:-

  • Chief people officers
  • Human resources executives, managers, supervisors
  • Human resource generalists and specialists
